Prof Chen Davidovich
BoD member; VIC
Prof Chen Davidovich is an Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellow at Monash University in Melbourne, Victoria, where he also serves as Director of the RNA Mass Spectrometry Platform. His research focuses on RNA-mediated regulation of chromatin modifiers and structure-function studies of gene repression. He established his laboratory at Monash University in 2015 as part of the EMBL-Australia program. Before founding his lab, Chen conducted postdoctoral research in the laboratory of Prof Tom Cech at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he investigated how RNA regulates chromatin modifiers. He earned his PhD in 2010 under the mentorship of Prof Ada Yonath at the Weizmann Institute of Science, studying the three-dimensional structure of the ribosome. Chen has previously held the Viertel Senior Medical Research Fellowship for mid-career researchers, as well as the Fulbright and Rothschild postdoctoral fellowships and the Adams PhD Scholarship.
